Penyebaran corona virus disease 2019 (Covid-19) di Indonesia ditetapkan sebagai bencana nasional nonalam melalui Keputusan Presiden (Kepres) Nomor 12 Tahun 2020 tanggal 13 April 2020. Covid-19 menjadi pandemi virus yang menyebar hampir ke seluruh negara di dunia dan menyebabkan berbagai dampak ke berbagai sektor termasuk ke sektor ketenagakerjaan. Berdasarkan data Kementerian Tenaga Kerja pada fasel awal pandemi covid-19 periode bulan April s.d. Agustus 2020 terdapat sekitar 2 juta pekerja terdampak, baik yang mengalami Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja (PHK), dirumahkan sementara dan kelompok usaha yang mengalami kebangkrutan usaha. Studi literatur ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan karir karyawan di tengah kesulitan pandemi covid-19 yang dialami oleh berbagai institusi dari berbagai sektor. Variabel yang digunakan yaitu faktor adaptabilitas karir, faktor motivasi, faktor pelatihan dan faktor profesionalisme.
